I am devastated. I adopted Simon when he was 2 months old. He was tiny, but grew to be a very big boy! He was mischievous, active, very busy all the time. He loved his toys, his food, his Mommy and especially his brother Ollie, although he tolerated his other siblings too. He loved to sleep with me or on me, leaving his long hair everywhere!
I had no idea he was sick. He was active, eating well, running to me when he heard the treats jar rattling. Suddenly a few days ago he stopped eating, and wouldn't even eat his favorite treats. I took him to his doctor, who found he had lost 4 lbs. and was very sick. His blood work was way off, she felt something in his belly, and his x-ray was abnormal. She sent us to the emergency hospital where they did more tests and discovered he was full of cancer in his belly and chest. I took him home, and this morning he went to be with his brothers and sisters at the Rainbow Bridge. He was only 12, and I am just destroyed. I expected to have him in my life for many more years. He was a wonderful boy.
